Since the Hamas-led terrorist attacks in Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, there has been an alarming rise of Jew hatred in the field of health care. Medical professionals described this, in a briefing on Capitol Hill on December 17, 2024. Michelle Stravitz, CEO of the American Jewish Medical Association, said that Jew-hatred and anti-Israel bias pervade medical schools and professional medical associations. Eveline Shekhman, the CEO of The American Jewish Medical Association, testified that:

One way that patients are paying the price is by becoming so afraid of medical practitioners that they hide their Jewish identity or put off medical care.
In one case, medical practitioners found it necessary to hide a patient’s identity. Bondi Beach terror attack victim Rosalia Shikhverg was treated in an Australian hospital. She was struck in the head by shrapnel and began bleeding heavily before she was admitted to Liverpool Hospital under her real name, with her surname and Jewish religion recorded. However, she said the next day — before undergoing surgery — hospital administrative staff told her that they had to change her identity. She said: “They cut my band and replaced it with a new band with Karen Jones. Without any religion.”
Two nurses from Bankstown hospital in Sydney Australia, one of them who threatened to kill Israelis and one who said he already did, were fired from the hospital. That doesn’t mean they won’t be hired to practice medicine somewhere else. The judge in their case ruled that the viral video that showed the nurses making these incriminating statements was inadmissible in court. A nurse from Bankstown hospital in Sydney Australia told an Israeli influencer: “Listen to me when your time comes, I want you to remember my face so you can understand that you will die the most disgusting death.” Wanting to ask a question, the influencer begins to say: “Let’s say an Israeli, God forbid …” “I won’t treat them, I’ll kill them,” the nurse interrupted. “Not God forbid, I hope to God.”
A male medical practitioner who was with her said: “You have no idea how many Israeli … dogs came to this hospital and I literally sent them to Jahannam.” Jahannam is the Arabic word for “hell.”
