Democrats hate ID requirements because they are racist and discriminatory toward illegal aliens — but only when it comes to voting. Shopping at government grocery stores is another matter.

Zohran Mamdani’s game plan for government-run grocery stores faced criticism Monday after a city official told reporters a “library-card-esque system” may be employed to prevent abuse of the 30% discounted markets.
Otherwise, people would come in from out of town, buy up groceries at the taxpayer-subsidized artificially reduced prices, then resell them at market price.

Backlash was predictable, considering ferocious Democrat opposition to the SAVE America Act, which would require ID to vote. Now a Mamdani spokesmoonbat claims:
“There will be no system to verify identity, residency, or income, and no one will be asked to show ID to shop.”
There will only be a “customer card,” which will limit how much food one person can buy.
This won’t be necessary, if past efforts by socialists to provide food are any indication. The shelves will be bare anyway.
Yet they keep trying — and you can see why. Control of food is ultimate power. The 100 million death toll run up by communism last century was mostly by starvation.
After Mamdani et al. consolidate power, they might consider dropping the “customer cards” in favor of a more efficient form of ID, as described in Revelation 13:17:
And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
