A new report found that 67% of colleges and universities across the United States require students to complete Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) courses in order to graduate.
The report, conducted by Speech First and highlighted by Campus Reform, examined general education requirements at 248 colleges and found that 165 institutions require students to take a DEI course before receiving a degree.
According to the report, only 33% of the colleges surveyed did not offer DEI courses.
The findings raise new concerns about the continued presence of left-wing ideological requirements on college campuses despite federal efforts under President Donald Trump to root out DEI from American schools.

DEI Requirements Widespread Across Campuses
The report found that students are being forced into courses advancing left-wing political and ideological views as part of their required education.
According to the report, students are subjected to courses “advocating far-left ideological perspectives and pushing far-left political advocacy.”
Of the universities surveyed that require DEI courses, 59% are public institutions, while 41% are private.
The findings show that DEI has remained deeply embedded in higher education, even after voters rejected woke ideology and returned Trump to the White House.
Speech First Executive Director Cherise Trump told Fox Business that her organization began investigating after hearing from college students.
“We had heard about some of the trainings through freshman orientations and some of the online modules,” Trump said.
“But we had not heard that you have to take full semester-long courses in order to graduate, so we wanted to look more into this, and that’s when we started digging,” she added.
