A 19-year-old girl is dead after a repeat offender with a lengthy rap sheet calmly walked up to her family’s front door in broad daylight, fired a shotgun through the screen, and later returned to murder her in the front yard.
Doorbell camera video shows Sean Xavier Hubbard, 34, approaching the Mount Gallant Road home in Rock Hill, South Carolina, on Saturday, May 16, and blasting through the door while children were inside.

The family had already endured multiple attacks in the days prior. That night, Hubbard came back around 11 p.m. and shot Camariya Tidwell outside her home. Police say she wasn’t the intended target, but she paid with her life anyway.

Hubbard, who had at least four prior arrests including for assaulting women, was arrested by a York County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team early Sunday and charged with murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and discharging a firearm into a dwelling. He remains held without bond.
Tidwell’s mother called her daughter “an angel” who loved her family and kept to herself. The household had installed cameras and pleaded for police protection after the earlier incidents, living in terror for days before the final deadly attack.
It’s yet another case of a repeat offender being enabled. And this time it’s even in a red State.
