Hunter Biden has quietly left the United States, according to a new court filing that says he now “lives abroad” and cannot afford to pay his outstanding legal bills.
The disclosure came in an April 6 filing submitted in Washington, D.C., by Hunter Biden’s attorney Barry Coburn.
Former President Joe Biden’s son is fighting a lawsuit from his former law firm, Winston & Strawn.
The firm represented Hunter in his gun and tax crime cases, along with other legal battles, and claims he failed to pay legal fees “substantially in excess of $50,000.”

Court Filing Says Hunter Biden ‘Lives Abroad’
Coburn’s filing states plainly that “Mr. Biden lives abroad” and argues that the former first son “cannot afford” to pay what he owes.
Coburn did not say where Hunter Biden is currently living.
However, the filing makes clear that he is no longer residing in the United States.
Hunter Biden has previously claimed publicly that he is buried in debt.
During a podcast appearance last year, he said he was in “$17 million of debt.”
Coburn reinforced that image in the new filing, describing Hunter Biden as “impecunious,” meaning effectively penniless.
