When children’s entertainment turns to indoctrination, we should be seriously concerned about the health of our society. Yet that is exactly what has been happening in recent decades as entertainment companies have begun pushing politically correct narratives, injecting them into children’s movies, TV shows, and books.
Disney has been a staple in children’s entertainment for over a century, yet in more recent years, it has strayed from Walt Disney’s vision of bringing quality entertainment to children. Indeed, he once said that “I would rather entertain and hope that people learned something than educate people and hope they were entertained.” The Disney company’s current producers seem to have forgotten this, for they have been inserting messages in Disney movies and TV shows and have even admitted to having a “not at all secret gay agenda,” as one of Disney’s executive producers admitted in a company conference call.

Conservative commentator Matt Walsh of the Daily Wire news outlet surveyed children’s TV shows in recent years that have concerning woke influences. Although the primary goal of these shows should be to entertain, Walsh says that “the primary goal now is to ensure that children in the audience adopt the correct political and ideological viewpoints.”
For instance, in 2021, the Muppet Babies TV show portrays a young character who is a gender fluid cross-dresser. In the past, males dressing as females (for instance, Robin Williams as Mrs. Doubtfire) was played for laughs, but now it is shown as being courageous and expressing one’s true self.
In Arthur, an episode from 2020, pushes children to engage in activism against racism and portrays the United States as a fundamentally racist country. They say that black people are being killed due to the color of their skin and that something needs to be done about it.
