Moonbattery Means No Power in Nashville

from Moonbattery:

You can have a society based on the principles of DEI, or you can have the lights come on when you flip the switch. You can’t have both for long. Nashville illustrates why.

Via the Tennessee Star:

A letter from Nashville Electric Service (NES) CEO Teresa Broyles-Aplin, included as part of the municipally owned power company’s resurfaced Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) report for 2024, reveals NES held over 100 training sessions as part of its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) agenda.

That was just for 2023 and the first quarter of 2024.

According to the ESG report, “These courses are the first step in a multi-year training series to foster DEIAB values throughout the organization.”

As with LGBTQIA+, the acronym is expanding. DEIAB adds an extra level nausea by standing for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Accessibility, and Belonging. Educrats use “belonging” as a euphemism for DEI in academia to escape getting called out for racial discrimination against Caucasians.

After establishing the ESG framework, the report claims DEI ranked among the most important topics to the company.

Ms. Broyles-Aplin’s other priorities are also woke:

Through a series of interviews and public statements since her 2022 appointment, Broyles-Aplin expressed her commitment to sustainable and renewable energy…

In a recent interview, Broyles-Aplin also explained that NES prioritizes Nashville’s tree canopy when trimming limbs to prevent outages.

As for what these priorities mean to the average citizen, consider that the power has been out for thousands in Nashville for 10 days now following the winter storm that hit on January 24.
