In the account circulated on social media, the guard said Venezuelan soldiers were suddenly incapacitated by what he described as an intense sonic or energy-based effect, leaving troops bleeding from the nose, vomiting blood, and unable to stand or resist. “It was like a very intense sound wave,” the guard said, adding that it felt as though his head was “exploding from the inside.”
The guard claimed the effect rendered his unit defenseless. “We had no way to compete with their technology, with their weapons,” he said. “I swear, I’ve never seen anything like it.”
According to the account Leavitt amplified, Venezuelan radar systems abruptly shut down before large numbers of drones appeared overhead. The guard said several helicopters then arrived, deploying roughly 20 U.S. troops who, despite being vastly outnumbered, overwhelmed hundreds of fighters on the ground.
“We were hundreds, but we had no chance,” he said. “They were shooting with such precision and speed; it felt like each soldier was firing hundreds of rounds per minute.”
