Palantir Technologies, a company whose very name comes from Tolkien’s “seeing stones” that could watch anyone, anywhere, has struck yet another contract with the Department of War’s enforcement arm, ICE, for their ImmigrationOS tracking software
This $30 million project, called ImmigrationOS, is designed to give ICE agents an all-seeing eye into the movements, data, and personal lives of anyone in the immigration system. It will combine biometric data, geolocation tracking, license-plate records, and social-media feeds into one unified platform.

The Trump administration has given Palantir just shy of a billion dollars in surveillance contracts and military technology, and what they are building is dark and dystopian.
