President Donald Trump over the weekend called for accountability following the release of declassified records showing former President Barack Obama and senior intelligence officials were aware that the 2016 Trump-Russia collusion narrative was unfounded.

A December 2016 presidential briefing, declassified by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, confirmed Obama received intelligence concluding that Russia had not manipulated the presidential election and that no evidence supported claims of cyber-based election interference.
Additional findings disclosed by CIA Director John Ratcliffe indicated that former CIA Director John Brennan, FBI Director James Comey, and Director of National Intelligence James Clapper worked together to initiate and sustain the investigation using the Steele Dossier—despite internal knowledge that the document’s contents were fabricated.
The intelligence report stated: “We assess that foreign adversaries did not use cyber attacks on election infrastructure to alter the US Presidential election outcome this year. We have no evidence of cyber manipulation of election infrastructure intended to alter results.”
Despite that assessment, Obama administration officials, including Brennan, Clapper, Comey, and former National Security Advisor Susan Rice, continued to advance the collusion narrative publicly and through media outlets.
“These documents detail a treasonous conspiracy by officials at the highest levels of the Obama White House to subvert the will of the American people and try to usurp the President from fulfilling his mandate,” Gabbard said.
On Saturday, Gabbard appeared on Fox News to reiterate her call for prosecutions.
