You might call it the Department of Justice shell game!
The Department of Justice will now investigate John Brennan and James Comey. This is what many would consider an excellent move by the Trump Administration. While true, there are many who question whether the announcement was timed to distract from FBI Director Kash Patel’s on-air “nothing to see here” proclamation about the Jeffrey Epstein client list being non-existent. Perhaps the DOJ is hoping people who voted for President Trump will let this case go after time, but that will not happen.

While Comey and Brennan deserve to be probed, the idea that the investigation comes abruptly after the administration’s U-turn on the Epstein case is noteworthy. The list they claim does not exist was, however, used to convict Ghislaine Maxwell. Politics as usual do not, however, apply in this instance: children were involved and American people want to know who was complicit along with Epstein and Maxwell, no matter how powerful they may be.
This is one of the many reasons Trump was hired by his voters. Perhaps rumors of major allied nations’ intelligence communities used Epstein Island as a way to place people into compromising positions in order to have their bidding done. While some may consider this necessary, what we need to see is that if such speculation is proven true, it would mean several U.S. and allied leaders before Epstein’s arrest used children and teens as pawns, trafficking them as a means to an end. This is a disgusting and reprehensible game with lives that powerful types consider totally disposable.
While it is commendable that the DOJ is going after Comey and Brennan, it is an insult to the intelligence of Trump’s supporters to use it as a diversion to the lack of transparency over the Epstein case. Perhaps adding another insult would be offering the heavily media-covered P. Diddy trial grab headlines as a means to distract the non-Trump supporters who also want to know about Epstein Island and who was involved. In a rather sad parallel, the prosecutors did not perform well in that case either.
