The Age of Aquarius: A Key To Understanding the Occult Elite’s Mindset

from Vigilant Citizen:

When one examines belief systems throughout history, one often encounters the concept of “ages” or “eras” – a period of a few thousand years ruled by specific forces. While each culture articulates this phenomenon differently, they amazingly tend to point in similar directions, as if the concept of ages is universal to human experience.

It would not be an exaggeration to state that many people feel that we are currently at the dawn of a new era, as if it were palpable in the air. After centuries of relative stability, numerous truths once considered immutable and simply facts of life are now questioned and redefined at their core. The concepts of gender, morality, and sexuality have become fluid …  like water pouring from a jug.

Appropriately enough, that is the main symbol associated with the sign of Aquarius. According to the calculations of astrotheologists and occult researchers, we are right at the threshold of the fabled Aquarian Age. As humanity moves—whether organically or forcibly—towards new paradigms, age-old predictions appear to be coming true.

The concept of ages is also mentioned numerous times in the Bible. The coming of Jesus Christ is said to have revolutionized the “old age” and brought forth a new era in salvation history. The book of Revelation anticipates the full realization of God’s kingdom, preceded by a period of great turmoil and tribulations, culminating in the rise of the Antichrist.

Could this biblical period coincide with the Age of Aquarius as defined by occultists? As we’ll see, some researchers, such as famed psychoanalyst Carl Jung, believe so.

One thing is for certain: Those who rule the world believe in the coming of the Aquarian Age. Knowing this fact allows us to better understand the deeper motivations behind their actions and agendas.

From the Piscean to the Aquarian Age

We all know that one astronomical year is the time for Earth to complete one orbit around the sun. On a much grander scale, one Great Year is when the sun moves through all twelve constellations – a process that takes around 26,000 years (about 2,100 years per constellation).

Each sign of the zodiac consists of thirty degrees, and as the sun loses about one degree every seventy two years, it regresses through one entire constellation (or sign) in approximately 2,160 years, and through the entire zodiac in about 25,920 years. This retrograde motion is called the precession of the equinoxes. This means that in the course of about 25,920 years, which constitute one Great Solar or Platonic Year, each one of the twelve constellations occupies a position at the vernal equinox for nearly 2,160 years, then gives place to the previous sign.

Among the ancients the sun was always symbolized by the figure and nature of the constellation through which it passed at the vernal equinox. For nearly the past 2,000 years the sun has crossed the equator at the vernal equinox in the constellation of Pisces (the Two Fishes). For the 2,160 years before that it crossed through the constellation of Aries (the Ram). Prior to that the vernal equinox was in the sign of Taurus (the Bull).
– Manly P. Hall, The Secret Teachings of All Ages

According to occultists, the world’s main religions are associated with the sun, and, whether consciously or unconsciously, they’ve adopted the symbol related to the zodiac sign of the Great Year they’ve ruled.

For instance, the sun has been in Pisces for the past 2000 years. Coincidentally, the fish has been one of the main symbols representing Christianity.

In early Christian history, the ichthys (aka Jesus fish) symbol held “the most sacred significance.” It remains one of the most prominent symbols in Christianity.

In the previous age, the sun was in Aries (the ram). One of the main symbols of Judaism – the religion that ruled the Aryan age – is the shofar, a ram’s horn.

According to occult figures such as Max Heindel, leader of modern Rosicrucianism, this phenomenon could be observed throughout history.

At the end of the Taurean age, about 4,000 years ago, “God’s people” fled from the wrath to come when they left Egypt, the land where they worshiped the Bull. They were led in their flight to the promised land by Moses, whose head in ancient esoteric pictures is adorned with wreathed ram’s horns, symbolical of the fact that he was herald of the Aryan age of 2100 years, during which each Easter morning the vernal sun colored the doorposts red as with the blood of the lamb, when it passed over the equator in the CONSTELLATION (not the SIGN) of the ram Aries.

Similarly, when the sun by precession was approaching the watery constellation Pisces, the Fishes, John immersed the converts to the Messianic religion in the waters of Jordan, and Jesus called his disciples “fishers” of men. As the “lamb” was slain at the Passover while the sun went through the constellation Aries, the Ram, so the faithful have in obedience to the command of their church fed on fishes during Lent in the present cycle of Pisces, the Fishes.

At the time when the sun by precession left the constellation Taurus, the Bull, the people who worshiped that animal were pronounced heathen and idolaters. A new symbol of the Savior, or Messias, was found in the lamb, which correspond to the constellation Aries; but when the sun by precession left that sign, Judaism became a religion of the past, and thenceforth the bishops of the new Christian religion wore a miter shaped like a fish’s head to designate their standing as ministers of the church during the Piscean Age, which is now drawing to a close.
– Max Heindel, Teachings of an Initiate

According to Max Heindel, mitres worn by bishops are designed to look like fish heads.

Humanity is supposedly set to move from the Piscean age to a new Aquarian age, characterized by its own set of symbols representing the main traits of the era.
