from RAIR Foundation:

Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) has joined FBI Director Kash Patel in vowing to “follow the money” to uncover exactly where the funding is coming from that is bankrolling the violent protests in Los Angeles and cities across the country.

A Color Revolution is Upon Us

The riots in Los Angeles are anything but spontaneous. Shields, clothing, bricks, weapons, and attorney protection are being provided to these Marxists. It is well-planned, which is the opposite of organic. This, in reality, has nothing to do with ICE and illegal immigration. It is the blossoming of a poisonous color revolution spurred on by the same radicals, subversive groups, and nongovernmental organizations that have stirred up trouble in the United States for decades.

Aiding and Abetting Criminal Conduct

Patel told Just the News that the FBI is following the money to uncover what groups are backing the protests, which are now spreading like Marxist cancer across the nation. He was blunt in noting that “It is aiding and abetting criminal conduct,” according to Blazemedia.

“The FBI is investigating any and all monetary connections responsible for these riots,” Patel stated.

Enter Josh Hawley’s Investigation

Hawley is publicly joining the FBI director in the hunt for those dumping big bucks in an effort to incite an uprising here in the U.S. He made an announcement on Wednesday that he is launching an investigation into those allegedly funding the chaos.

“Who is funding the LA riots? This violence isn’t spontaneous. As chairman of the Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime & Terrorism, I’m launching an investigation to find out,” the senator posted to X.

He also posted a letter that he sent to the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles. That is just one of many leftist organizations he believes are behind the “lawless mob actions.”

“Credible reporting now suggests that your organization has provided logistical support and financial resources to individuals engaged in these disruptive actions,” Hawley wrote in the letter. “Let me be clear: bankrolling civil unrest is not protected speech. It is aiding and abetting criminal conduct.”

“Let me be clear: bankrolling civil unrest is not protected speech. It is aiding and abetting criminal conduct. Accordingly, you must immediately cease and desist any further involvement in the organization, funding, or promotion of these unlawful activities,” he demanded.

Hawley then asked that they provide the Senate Subcommittee on Crime and Counterterrorism “with a list of records, including internal communications, financial documents related to protests, third-party contracts, grant applications, travel and lodging records, media and public relations strategies, and donor lists,” according to Blazemedia.

Hawley warned them that a “failure to comply” will result in further action, including “potential referral for criminal investigation.”

Others are Investigating Where the Money is Coming From

DataRepublican also believes that CHIRLA is behind the pre-planned revolt and pointed out that $34 million of the NGO’s reported $45 million revenue in the fiscal year ending June 2023 was from government grants, which mostly came from California.
