Be Careful What You Ask For, You Might Just Get It: Sanctuary City Leaders Complain Loudly Now That They Actually Have To Provide Said Sanctuary

For more than a decade I have written about illegal immigration, open borders and so-called “sanctuary cities,” and for the first time, we are witnessing a phenomena that is pitting a liberal-run cities against a Democrat president, and it is a sight to behold.

First off, what is a sanctuary city and/or state? It is a city or state that declares itself a haven for illegal immigrants. In most cases, the Democrat leaders of the city and/or state, forbid their law enforcement agencies from working with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents to enforce immigration laws and deport illegal aliens.

TRUTH LIVES on at https://sgtreport.tv/

To understand how incredibly huge this problem is with cities/states refusing to abide by federal immigration law, there are 11 states that identify as sanctuary states and 181 cities and counties in 30 more states.

For a list of those cities, counties and states, they are all listed over at the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS), along with a map.
As cities in Texas and Arizona have seen their resources depleted because of open borders as illegal immigrants are dumped into border states, the sanctuary cities shouted loudly and proudly that they would welcome the illegal aliens with open arms…….. until red states unable to handle the influx of illegals, started bussing to said sanctuary cities states.

During a time of systematic, ‘big tech’ censorship and widespread institutional corruption, truth-seeking media and alternative views are crucial, and EVERY little bit helps more than you could know!)

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU ASK FOR……….

The images above were taken at police precincts in Chicago, which many of are now forced to house illegal immigrants, some as those shown in the image below, sleeping in jail cells.

The footage filmed by videographer Rebecca Brannon on Sunday shows row upon row of makeshift beds on the floors of precinct houses, with young kids among those sleeping or running around and playing.

Their personal belongings, some in plastic trash bags, are littered around the lobbies and mounted high against glass windows as other migrants lounge around outside listening to music.

Brannon said she found the camps while visiting eight different stations Sunday across the sanctuary city, which has already declared a state of emergency over the overwhelming influx of border crossers.

A look at the sanctuary city list and we see that Chicago is one of the cities listed as a sanctuary city. While Chicago now has a new mayor, the former mayor, Lori Lightfoot, had a bit to say about the cities ability, or lack thereof, to handle the influx of illegal aliens into their city.

In September 2022, when Texas started bussing illegal immigrants to sanctuary city/counties, the former mayor preached “They are human beings,” and vowed to welcome them.

So, Texas sent more!

By May, before Lightfoot left office, she declared the state of emergency.

Lightfoot’s office said since the first group of migrants were bused to Chicago from Texas last August, the city has coordinated with local and state agencies to care for over 8,000 migrants. The declaration states that number is “exceeding the City’s ability to manage that inflow.”

Lightfoot also whined about illegals being sent to her “sanctuary city”:

“We will always do right by our immigrant and refugee communities, but we’ve reached a breaking point in our response to this humanitarian crisis primarily manufactured by him for cynical political purposes,” Lightfoot said.

She also dared send a letter to Texas Gov. Greg Abbott where she beseeched him to stop sending illegals to Chicago.

Abbott responded to her complaints by telling her to take her complaints to Joe Biden.

The ongoing border and humanitarian crisis that Texas and the entire United States are grappling with is a direct result of President Biden’s open-border policies. Under the previous administration, illegal immigration was at its lowest levels in decades. Now, President Biden is preparing to open the floodgates by ending Title 42 expulsions next week, and Texas is on the frontlines of this catastrophe.

As the mayor of a self-declared sanctuary city, it is ironic to hear you complain about Chicago’s struggle to deal with a few thousand illegal immigrants, which is a fraction of the record-high numbers we deal with in Texas on a regular basis. Texas border towns like Eagle Pass, Brownsville, and Laredo—and even bigger cities like El Paso—cannot handle the flood of illegal immigrants rushing across our southern border.

With Title 42 expulsions set to end next week, the federal government has estimated that we could have up to 13,000 illegal immigrants cross the U.S.–Mexico border every single day. Some reports indicate that there are nearly 35,000 waiting to cross into El Paso as soon as Title 42 expulsions are no longer in effect. If Chicago can’t deal with 8,000 in less than a year, how are small Texas border communities supposed to manage 13,000 in just one day?

These surges in illegal crossings will be accompanied by criminal activity, gang violence, and deadly drugs like fentanyl. These problems do not stay in border communities in Texas. They make their way all throughout the country, including to the streets of Chicago. Innocent Americans are put at risk every day by these open-border policies.

If you truly want to “work together to find a real solution” to this border crisis gripping our nation, you must call on the Biden Administration to do its job by securing our border, repelling the illegal immigrants flooding into our communities, classifying the Mexican drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations, and intercepting the deadly fentanyl that is endangering our country.

You are right that “this situation is completely untenable,” but this is not a Texas problem—this is a problem for the entire United States of America. To provide much-needed relief to our overrun border communities, Texas began busing migrants to sanctuary cities such as your “Welcoming City,” along with Washington, D.C., New York City, and Philadelphia, with more to come. Until Biden secures the border to stop the inflow of mass migration, Texas will continue this necessary program.

Moving along to New York City, yet another city that has boasted of being a sanctuary city for years and years, yet now they are complaining about too many illegal aliens within their city, bussed there by border state leaders.

NYC mayor, Eric Adams, also declared a state of emergency, back in October 2022, due the influx.

The difference between Adams and Lightfoot, is that Adams has laid the issue right at the Biden regime’s feet.

Adams blasted the federal government’s response to the border crisis at the beginning of the year when he visited El Paso, Texas, saying at the time that the city expected “more from our national leaders to address this issue in a real way” outside a church.

See more of Adam’s continued criticisms of Biden’s border crises.

Now Adams is considering housing the immigrants sent to NYC at Rikers Island prison.

When asked about the possibility of sheltering migrants at the active jail, Mayor Eric Adams said “we are considering everything,” highlighting the severity of the ongoing crisis.
