DPS helicopter crew finds metallic monolith embedded into Utah desert

by Shepard Ambellas, Intellihub:

Like a scene of the 1968 Stanley Kubrick film 2001: A Space Odyssey, a Department of Public Safety Division of Wildlife Resources helicopter crew member told the pilot during a reconnaissance mission in a remote region of southwestern Utah last Wednesday to turn around and check out a strange-looking object and that’s when the crew saw what appeared to be a metallic monolith firmly planted into the southeastern Utah desert floor.

In fact, the location of the discovery is so remote that officials are not publicly disclosing it under the guise that anyone visiting the site may become stranded, as ABC 4 News reported during a broadcast on Monday.

“I’m thinking like okay is this something NASA stuck up there or something?” pilot Bret Hutchings told KSL 5 TV. “I’m assuming it is some new wave artist or something or someone who is just a big 2001 Space Odyssey fan.”

The structure is clearly made of some type of metal and appears to have been cut or somehow placed into the rock base defying logic.
