from 21st Century Wire:

If this report is accurate, then this should reinforce calls for the United States to leave Syria instead of insisting on meddling in a conflict which the US and its allies had conceived and actively stoked since 2011.

According to a recent report (see in section below), a US strategic high altitude B-52H bomber flew dangerously close to Russia’s Hmeimim air base in Latakia, Syria.

According to 21WIRE military analyst sources, this US aircraft most likely belongs to a wing which has been recently deployed to the island of Crete in Greece just last week, from 12 Nov 2019. Watch:

This appears to be part of the Pentagon’s new geopolitical strategy which is designed to heighten tensions with Russia and Europe. Not since the Cold War has the United States deployed this nuclear capable aircraft eastward, which may be considered an aggressive move by Eurasian allies Russia and China.

Moreover, to continue with its own failing policy of illegal intervention in Syria further risks triggering more potentially more dangerous incidents like this one…

Al Masdar News reports…

BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:10 P.M.) – The Russian military nearly came to blows with a U.S. aircraft that was flying near the Hmeimim (var. Khmeimim) Airbase along the Syrian coast, the Chinese-language Sina News publication reported.

Citing the Sina report, the Russian publication Avia.Pro said, “the mysterious incident occurred near the borders of Syria,” pointing out that “the American strategic B-52H bomber came extremely close to the Russian military base, as a result of which the crew received a warning from the Russian military that they were ready to open fire.”

Avia.Pro said the Russian military also warned a U.S. F-16 fighter jet that was escorting the B-52H bomber in the eastern Mediterranean.
