Journalism Eh?

by Karl Denninger, Market Ticker:

This is beyond ridiculous.

The NY Times claims to be one of the nation’s “papers of record.”

They just announced that they have hired Sarah Jeong for their “editorial board.”

This person has a very material history of posting blatantly and outrageously racist tweets.

We are not talking about one or two instances or someone on a one-off basis “drunk posting”; this is a person with a pattern of said behavior, in public, over a material period of time.

Two examples from Daily Caller (there are in fact dozens trivially discoverable and publicly available):

“Dumbass ****ing white people marking up the internet with their opinions like dogs pissing on fire hydrants,” she tweeted in 2016.

Another tweet reads, “oh man it’s kind of sick how much joy I get from being cruel to old white men.”

Does “#metoo” only apply to women and does racism only apply to other-than-whites?

The NY Times fired a dude not that long ago for posting nasty things about blacks and gays — just hours after they had hired him.  So the standard is here, and now we find out if this is a newspaper or if it’s a propaganda joint that literally hates whites, especially old white people, and thus has FORFEITED any claim to be a “newspaper.”

Just replace the word “white” with “black” in any of those messages and tell me what her job prospects would look like.
